SEX! SEX? SEX! SEX? SEX!
OK, now that I've got your attention...
This may be a blogger taboo, I don't know (still pretty new at this), but I'm doing sort of a repeat here. Several people stopped by and said HI in celebration of National Delurker's Week, (it was nice to hear from you all and I hope you come back again soon) but no one seemed to read the post before it and I really wanted some feedback on that so here we go again. Please read this excerpt from my previous post and leave me a comment. Consider it sort of an unofficial poll if you will. Once I get some comments on the subject I will tally the results and post my own experiences. I am also open to e-mails if you prefer. Thanks.
FTN was one of the commentors on this and he even went so far as to write his own post on the subject... In his post he boiled it down to a question of compatibility in three areas: party-compatible, socially-compatible, and alcohol-compatible. And since someone is almost always talking about sex somewhere on a blog let’s throw libido-compatible in the mix, just for fun. I’d like to hear how some of these four combinations are mixed and matched (partier/non-drinker/medium libido & librarian/social-drinker/sexual freak, you get the idea). If you need another example see the comment on the original post.
Unfortunately, those are probably the four areas of our lives that my wife and I are not only most IN-combatible, but we are almost polar opposites. I'll elaborate on that thought later.

When we met, the husband and I saw that we were opposite in some things. I was much more of a partier/drinker than he was and a bit more freaky in the sex department but we both had high libidos. Over the last 5 years, he's more of a partier/drinker and I've calmed down in that so we're very similar with that and he's done things in the bedroom that he'd only read about before. I think we kind of changed a little to suit each other better.
For the record I did read the original post but was unsure how to answer it in a "meaningful" way.
I'm still not exactly sure how to answer your questions but I'll try.
For me I'm a drinker. I drink socially and depending on who I'm with determines how much I drink. If I'm alone I drink beer. Summer on the other hand don't drink. If she has 1/2 a wine cooler in a yera that is a lot for her.
Conclusion: Non-compatible :-(
For parties we really don't get invited to parties and we don't throw parties of our own. When her brother lived in Cali. he used to throw some parties during the summer time. She would gop to be with her brother. I would go to drink heavily with the in laws. So that goes back to the drinking compatible. But as to "party" compatible we'll still have to see.
Conclusion: inconclusive
Now to socially compatible. I get VERY uncomforatable being around a crowd of people. Even family. I prefer to be around small groups. 10 people would be pushing it. When my family has a reunion during the summer I generally stay away from the main congragation and isolate myself to a small group of people that I feel comforatable around. Which usually means the ones I see year round. Which also ruins the point of a reunion. So in order for me to feel comforatable around my family I have quite a few beers. not enough to get a buzz but enough to make me comforatable around people. Summer does quite well socially. She gets along well with other people and is willing to talk. She mingles and makes sure she talks to everyone at a reunion. If I'm around one person even if it's a stranger I'll share my whole life story but around big groups I'm really uncomforatable.
Conclusion: non-compatible :-(
Now to the fun part! Sexually compatibe! I guess you could call me HL. But that is if you want to put a lable on me. I'm not sure if I'm a high libido or not. I do have a higher libido than Summer though. I'm happy with the amount of lovin that we do have though. Do I wish it was a little more frequent or that she would initiate more? You bet your ass I do. But I'm not going to complain about what I have. Summer has a lower libido than I do but I'm not sure if she should be labled as LL either. Or even sexually anorexic. She just don't have the need for it as much as much as she used to. To tell you the truth I don't blame her. after she has gone all day with the kids pulling on her and wanting her to give them 110% of her attention, to then get them in bed, and then have me wanting what little bit of attention she has left is asking a lot. Thereb are times lately when my kids are draining my libido out of me. But on the plus side to this having her make me wait to make love to her makes it all that much better when we do get together. So I'll be happy with 1-2 times a week for now.
Conclusion:Compatible Or at least getting more compatible as time goes on. :-)
I hope this answers your questions for your poll. If not in a way to lengthy comment. But get ready in the future for to make a post that might cotradict what I just posted here about the libido.

My husband and I are incompatible in most of the areas you have brought up...
I'm not a drinker, he is...
Neither of us are partiers...
He is WAY more outgoing that I...I have a select group of close friends, everyone he meets is a friend of his.
My libido is way higher than his...I may be quiet on the outside, but, damn, I'm totally different in the bedroom.
I was attracted to him at first in part because of the differences we share. I've become unsatisfied lately because of the differences in our libido. It wasn't that way at first.

Drinking... I drink, husband does not. However, when I say I drink, that means about 1/2 dozen times a year, at best. We recently went out to a party at some friends of ours house, and he did one shot and had one mixed drink. I had 2 shots and 3 drinks, but neither were tipsy. He simply does not enjoy the taste of alcohol, and feels it immoral to drink in excess. This used to bug me, but I got over it. I'd say we're different but compatible. Plus, I always have a DD. : )
Socially, I am usually more outgoing than he is. Case in point, the party we went to, I joined right in conversation, and he sat quietly. I attribute my outgoingness, however, to the drinks. Normally I'm pretty quiet.
As far as sex, I think he's a lot more "out there" than he's willing to admit to me, but based on our experiences so far, I'd say that I'm far more adventurous than he is.
We're different in almost all of these regards, but I think that makes us MORE compatible. We compliment each other, respect each others differences, and have enough in common to make up the difference.
